FAQ

What medium are your original paintings?

I work in acrylic paint, oil pastels/sticks and pencils. I also use collage which is usually paper, fabric, photographs, and memorabilia.

What finishing do you use on the surface of the painting?

Each painting is finished with 2 coasts of varnish, I use matt, satin or gloss depending on the painting I am working on.

Are your paintings framed?

It varies. I do most of my medium and large work on stretched canvas and sell them unframed. Some people prefer the modern look of large paintings unframed. If you want a frame, you can choose when you have the painting with you – it’s easier to decide that way! A slimline box frame looks great with a canvas.

Having said that, I do have some of my paintings framed and have shipped large and medium sized framed paintings overseas many times. If you choose a framed painting and don’t want the frame, I can remove it and just send the canvas. The cost of the frame would be removed from the final price.

Details regarding the frame will be with each work. Please contact me if you would like bespoke
advice or have any further questions!

Will my painting be ready to hang?

You just need to decide were!
My favourite painting has sold – how can I be sure to know about new work?
Please keep an eye out for updates on Instagram to see work coming up.

How will my painting be wrapped?

Unstretched canvas paintings will be rolled in calico and sent in a wide heavy-duty tube with end caps. Framed or paintings on stretched canvas will be carefully packed using corner protection, bubble wrap and cardboard. Because of size etc. each painting is unique, so I take care that it’s well protected to arrive in perfect condition. For further details about delivery please see the shipping
details.

Do you do special commissions?

I can do commissions, but I have to have the freedom to produce my best work. We can talk contact me and let’s discuss your ideas etc. A 50% deposit will secure the commission painting.
